Members of our Phoenix staff rallied together this past Saturday with MGA patient “Peanut” & “Team Peanut” at Tempe Beach Park for the MDA Muscle Walk of Greater Phoenix. All funds raised from these nation-wide events help to support patients, their families, and the ongoing research and treatment efforts of the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Specifically these walks help fund hundreds of annual research projects, clinics staffed by muscular dystrophy and related disease experts, week-long summer camp programs which provide a barrier-free experience for approximately 3,500 children, and MDA’s equipment program which helps MDA families with durable medical equipment (such as wheelchairs) and repairs.

MDA’s Mission:

Each day, everyday freedoms like walking, hugging, playing and even breathing are taken away from kids and adults in our community with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related muscle-debilitating diseases.

The dollars we raise together fuel MDA’s efforts to find research breakthroughs across diseases; to care for kids and adults from day one; and to empower families in hometowns across America with services and support. We can’t do this without you!
